Of all the Spice Girls, Melanie Chisholm has been the one to consistently still be making music. In fact, she’s recently announced that her ninth studio album is almost ready for the world to enjoy.
In a statement to The Mirror, Mel C said,
‘The last few albums, I’ve been leaning more towards electronic pop music. And with this one I really wanted to embrace that more, with dance music and all the DJing I’ve been doing.’
‘I just wanted to have fun with it and create something I love. The album is done and news will be coming soon.
‘I feel like I’m still learning and growing – I just love to sing, to perform, as well as DJing – and I wanted to combine everything together for this album. I can’t wait to get out there and perform it.’
We love that for her and can’t wait to hear her latest work. The downside of it though? Any plans to bring the Spice Girls back together for possibly a tour and new music look like they’re gonna be on hold for now. But you know what? The ladies should just keep doing what they need to do. The fans will still for sure be around for whatever they’ve got planned next, whenever that’s gonna happen.
